Thanks to these recipes, you don't have to throw anything away.
Many families have traditional raclette on New Year's Eve.
No wonder, after all, it is good to prepare, sociable and everyone can prepare their food according to their taste.
One disadvantage, however, is that there is often a lot left over.
But the ingredients and the raclette cheese are far too good to throw away.
With these delicious and simple recipes you can save leftover raclette from the garbage can.
Casserole made from leftover raclette
A quick and easy way to use the leftovers from the raclette is a casserole.
The ingredients are already
bite-sized into slices or cubes
and all you have to do is mix them together if you have more pasta or layer them if there are more potatoes.
You need to fry meat beforehand.
Whisk 200 ml of milk, 200 ml of cream and 4 eggs together.
Put the leftover raclette in a baking dish and pour the egg milk over it.
Then top the casserole with the leftover raclette cheese and bake it in the oven at 180 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.

Then pour the meat stock until the meat and vegetables are just covered.
Now simmer the goulash over medium heat for one to one and a half hours,
depending on how thick the pieces of meat are cut
.
Finally, add salt and pepper to taste and the hearty treat is ready.

Again, you need to fry the meat beforehand.
Freezing raclette cheese
The spicy raclette cheese is also wonderfully suitable for
cheese spaetzle or for gratinating an onion soup
.
If you don't have time to process the cheese shortly after Christmas, you can also
freeze
it very easily
and use it later
.
To do this, place sandwich paper or baking paper between the slices so that you can remove them one by one.
Then freeze the panes as airtight as possible - this tip is particularly good.
Since cheese loses its aroma when it is frozen, the raclette cheese is more suitable for gratinating casseroles and Co. after defrosting in the refrigerator.
