(ANSA) - WASHINGTON, 02 JAN - Joe Biden phoned the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky today after the meeting with Vladimir Putin "making it clear that the US and its allies and partners will respond resolutely if Russia invades Ukraine further".
This was reported by a note from White House spokesman Jen Psaki.
The two leaders, it says, "have expressed support for the diplomatic efforts, starting next week with the bilateral dialogue (US-Russia, ed) for strategic stability, the NATO-Russia Council and the OSCE".
