(see report at 18.02) (ANSA) - WASHINGTON, 02 JAN - The parliamentary commission investigating the assault on Congress has a "firsthand testimony" that during the attack Ivanka Trump, daughter and adviser to the then President Donald Trump, he asked "at least twice 'please stop the violence'".
Republican deputy Liz Cheney, vice president of the commission, told ABC News.
Democrat colleague Bennie Thompson went on to say that the committee, of which he is chairman, "has a significant testimony that leads us to believe that the White House was told to do something."
