The Commission for the guarantee of the statutes and for the transparency and control of the statements of political parties has rejected the request for access to the 2 per thousand benefits presented by the M5S.
The negative opinion of the body, made up of magistrates and chaired by Amedeo Federici, concerns not only the Movement but also L'Alternativa, the group made up of former 5 stars, Courage Italy and Europeanists.
The resolution, dated 23 December, rejects the Movement's application as a consequence of the non-acceptance of the request for registration of the M5s Statute in the National Register of Political Parties, an indispensable condition for accessing the funds and provided for by the law that introduced the right of taxpayers finance the parties with a share of 2 per thousand of the tax return.
In short, the Commission considered that the Statute of the M5s, voted on by the members, does not meet the required requirements.
By resolution of 25 November, however, the Commission accepted the request for registration in the Register presented by Italexit.
