A 14-year-old has died after being hit by a car in Halle on New Year's Eve.
The driver or the driver fled from the place of the clash, the police said.
Now the investigators are following clues about the getaway car.
On New Year's Day, people who were around the scene of the accident were interviewed until late in the evening, the police in Saxony-Anhalt announced on Sunday.
On the night of Saturday, traces had already been secured on site and surveys carried out.
The 14-year-old died in hospital from his injuries.
How the accident came about is still unclear.
The police went public with a call for witnesses.
According to initial information, the getaway car is said to be a white small car.
The police assume that the vehicle has damage in the front area.
