Great artists returning to the stage, intriguing albums and exciting live events - this is what we can expect this year if the Corona does not spoil the plans

2021 is over, and it was complex for the world of culture, but a little better than its predecessor.

What awaits us in 2022?

Will the world of culture return to full activity?

Will more corona waves hit us and the restrictions return?

Since we prefer to stay on the optimistic side, we have put together for you some events and shows from the music world that are supposed to make us 2022. Let's hope it does happen.

1. The Super Bowl halftime show

The Super Bowl, the final of the American Football League, is far beyond a sporting event for Americans.

It is the most watched broadcaster on American television in general, and as such attracts the half-name of the biggest names in world music.

This year, the Super Bowl will take place on February 13, and its half-time show will feature a group of impressive artists - all about the purity of black music.

On the stage of the Sufi Stadium in California, the masses will be entertained by iconic stars such as Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar, in what will undoubtedly be an impressive show of rap, hip-hop and R&B.

2. Grammy Awards Ceremony

It is not clear how many people still care about awards ceremonies, but the Grammy Institution still carries with it significance and prestige in the U.S. music industry. Nominated by the shrinking Abba band, which is nominated in the "Recording of the Year" category with "I Still Have Faith in You," its return single after 40 years.

JZ will compete for awards in three categories, thanks to his collaborations on albums by Kenya West and the late rapper DMX, thus becoming the artist with the most nominations in Grammy history: 83 in number.

The esteemed rapper even overtook Beatles member Paul McCartney, who has only 81 nominations.

Billy Aylish, who two years ago officially became the youngest winner in Grammy history, is nominated in seven categories for her second album "Happier than Ever", and Justin Bieber is nominated for eight awards for his latest album "Justice".

Former US President Barack Obama has also found himself among the nominees for the award, for the recorded version of his book "A Promised Land".

3. Return of the live performances?

Before the omicron variant wound up in our lives, we were almost convinced that the corona was behind us and that pretty soon everything would work out.

But in recent weeks we are once again experiencing cancellations of performances across Europe as a result of the morbidity situation, and it is clear that the live world is about to face restrictions again.

The hope is that even if there are restrictions on the live performance market, it will not close hermetically as in the days of the first closures, because there are quite a few artists who have marked 2022 as a year in which they will once again plow the world.

Who are set to return to the stage this year are artists like Elton John (who will be driving his farewell tour as early as January), Billy Aylish (February), The Backstreet Boys, Rage Against The Machine, The Weekend, Celine Dion, Green Day, Maroon 5, Coldplay and many more.

Beyoncé is slated to hit this year for her first tour since 2016, Ganz v. Roses will return for their huge comeback tour, but above all, the one who is considered the hottest ticket in the music world this year is Adele, who is set to return to the stage.

The British singer will perform at the Caesars Palace Hotel in Las Vegas from January to April, with two performances each weekend.

In Israel, too, the international performance market is set to return to normal, and the air train planned to stop in the country includes names such as Nick Cave, Justin Bieber, Deep Purple, Counting Crows and Maluma.

4. Albums

The last two years have been saturated with new albums.

Taylor Swift, for example, took out two at four-month intervals apart, as a direct result of the corona lockers stopping any stage activity.

But inflation in studio recordings is not expected to end any time soon, and quite a few artists are already planning to release new material this year.

One of the most intriguing albums to be released in 2022 is that of the British rock band Arctic Monkeys.

This is their first album since "Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino" from 2018, which did not win much sympathy.

Another intriguing album is by Eddie Vedder, lead singer of the band Pearl Jam, who is set to release "Earthling" in February, his third solo album.

Hopefully, it's more like the perfect soundtrack he wrote for the 2007 film "Until the End of the World" than his oppressive Ukulele album from a decade ago.

Liam Gallagher will likely not be able to reunite Oasis this year either, but he plans to release a third solo album, which will be titled "C'mon You Know" and will be released in May.

Jack White, a former White Stripes man, plans to release no less than two albums this year: "Fear of the Dawn" which will be released in April and "Entering Heaven Alive" which is due out in July.

Other artists who are expected to release intriguing albums this year are Elvis Costello, Time Impala, Brian Adams, Koren, Alt Jay, Placebo, Forcupine Terry and Ozzy Osborne.

5. A separate Van Halen singer

Van Halen's legendary lead singer, David Lee Roth, holds no less than 50 years of successful career, establishing himself as one of American rock's favorite names.

Even if it is no longer relevant these days, Roth will forever remain a symbol of a period represented by guitars, stadium anthems and long-haired rockers wearing tight clothing.

On January 8, the singer will sign five performances in Las Vegas and will finally retire from music.

At least, for now.

6. Custom songs

As the corona continues, artists are becoming more and more creative when it comes to the direct service they offer to their fans. This trend is expected to expand: Familiar names may offer to record songs for us or with us individually, play on our recording or write texts for us, and even absurd services like going out to buy records with us, teaching us to play, talking to us in a (especially expensive) zoom or staying with us at home And play. The hospitality at home has gained significant momentum during the corona time, and it seems that they are not going to pass from our lives any time soon.

What is expected to happen this year is the continuation of the interesting technological developments in the world of music.

An interesting development that Apple has already launched turns the album covers, for example, into something alive and moving on the web.

What else will happen this year?

The performances in the streaming services will be perfected, Tiktok will continue to establish its status as a revival of songs from the past and start new careers, albums and songs will be sold for a price as virtual assets on the net, and songwriters in the US will go to war. Whenever the fruits of their textual creation are played.
