After a traffic accident on Autobahn 4, a dog was missing for days - now the Rhodesian Ridgeback has reappeared to the delight of his mistress.
Several vehicles were involved in a traffic accident on the A4 between the Bad Hersfeld junction and the Kirchheim motorway triangle on Thursday, and several people were slightly injured.
After the accident, two dogs escaped from a car.
An animal was hit by an approaching car and died on the highway.
There was no trace of the second Rhodesian Ridgeback for a long time.
The dog owners searched unsuccessfully for the missing animal.
A search with a drone with a thermal imaging camera in the vicinity of the accident site was also unsuccessful on Saturday.
Injured and disturbed
On Sunday afternoon, however, a driver standing in a traffic jam reported that a dog was lying on the central guardrail near the scene of the accident.
According to the police, the dog owner who was looking for the animal in the forest near the Asbachtal bridge has received her injured and disturbed dog.
The four-legged friend was taken to a veterinary clinic.
