Highest since September: About 6,500 verified in Corona were diagnosed yesterday | Israel today

The omicron is raging:

a record number of daily verified for three and a half months.

This is according to data from the Ministry of Health this morning (Monday), according to which 6,562 infections were diagnosed in Corona yesterday in Israel, constituting 4.83% of a total of 226,008 tests.

This is the highest daily number of diagnoses since September 20.

As you may recall, Prime Minister Bennett, who last night announced the opening of the fourth vaccination campaign for those aged 60 and over and the medical staff, warned yesterday that the daily number of verified patients could reach 50,000 at the current peak of the goal.

The coefficient of adhesion (R) continues to climb and now stands at 1.88, an increase of another 0.04 from yesterday.

This is the highest infection rate for more than half a year (on June 18, the infection rate was 1.92).

The number of active carriers now stands at 37,675 people of them, 110 patients in critical condition (35 respirators).

This is a slight decrease from yesterday, when the number was 113 patients in critical condition.

The number of deaths since the outbreak of the plague in Israel stands at 8,244, while no deaths from corona in Israel have been reported since Wednesday.
