Nationwide Juice Recall - Pesticides Found in Five Popular Products

Recall for juice: The Rabenhorst company recalls “Rotbäckchen” and “Rabenhorst” organic juices - a breakdown product of ethylene oxide was discovered.

Concerning residues of a pesticide were found in several juices.

Consumption is strongly discouraged.

Kassel - The company Rabenhorst O. Lauffs GmbH & Co. KG informs about a current recall * of various organic juices with the ingredient curry leaf extract.

According to the company, residues of 2-chloroethanol, a breakdown product of the pesticide ethylene oxide, were found in the ingredient.

Consumers are asked to heed the recall * and not to consume the affected product.

Last year there was a real wave of recalls in Germany - the toxic substance ethylene oxide was detected in numerous foods *.

Five organic juices from Rabenhorst are affected by the recall.

Juice recall from Rabenhorst and Rotbäckchen: Products can be returned

The affected products can be returned to your shop without having to present a receipt for a refund of the purchase price. 

Customer service answers consumer inquiries at the email address Warenrueckruf@rabenhorst.de.

The company Rabenhorst points out that only the mentioned organic products with the ingredient curry leaf extract are affected.

Conventional products with the same name are not affected.

You can recognize this by the missing hexagonal organic seal and the ingredient iron (II) gluconate instead of curry leaf extract.

A sausage recall was recently started - harmful Listeria were discovered during a product sample.

There was also another recall for a mulled wine.
