(ANSA) - TAIPEI, 03 JAN - The 6.0 magnitude earthquake that struck off the east coast of Taiwan did not cause casualties, according to the Taipei Meteorological Office, where the shock was strongly felt, causing many buildings to rock.
For now, no injuries or particular damages have been reported.
The quake was recorded at 5.46 pm local time (10.46 am in Italy) at sea, with its epicenter 56 km from the city of Hualiena and a depth of only 19 km in the earth's crust.
