The audiovisual group M6, which owned 49% of the network of real estate agencies created by its star host Stéphane Plaza, announced on Monday that it had acquired a majority stake in the company.

The participation and responsibilities of Stéphane Plaza, who owns about a quarter of the company, remain unchanged, the group said in a press release. The favorite host of the French in 2021, who has been multiplying for 15 years the programs on the subject of real estate ("Search apartment or house", "House for sale", "Apartment hunters"), had given his name to the company created in 2015 with two former managers of the competing Laforêt network, Patrick-Michel Khider de Lusigny (current president) and Bernard de Crémier, who died in 2019.

Now holding 51% of the capital, thanks to an additional investment of 2.5 million euros, M6 will consolidate the network of 660 franchises in its accounts, among its diversification activities, he said.

16.5 million euros in turnover

In 2021, the company should achieve an operating margin (Ebita) of 12.5 million euros, up 47% over one year, the group predicts.

The M6 ​​group is engaged by the end of the year in a merger operation with its historic competitor TF1, which should lead to an upheaval in the French audiovisual landscape, if it obtains the agreement of the Competition Authority. and the CSA.
