Whether we like it or not - the papillons are back to conquer the feed, and maybe you can do it right without looking like a Christmas gift wrap

The bow tie motif is an occupying trend that is hard to resist, and every few years it returns to fashion in one variation or another.

Some would argue that this is a horribly kitschy element, especially when served in an extreme size, but as with a fancy gift wrap there is something in a bow tie that immediately puts a smile on your face.

In general it can be said that controversial trends have a place of honor in the list of reasons that make the preoccupation with fashion a magnet, and there is no doubt that a statement bow that adorns the front is not suitable for everyone.

In recent weeks his presence of the papillon on the feed has been especially felt courtesy of the Christmas and New Year's Eve atmosphere plus reinforcement from the second season of the hit series Emily in Paris.

Out of the variety of exaggerated outfits, a black mini strapless dress with a fuchsia bow tie stood out, which Lily Collins wore to Emily's birthday party, the character she plays.

The specific model Natalie Strapless Bow Dress ($ 440) designed by the Danish label Rotate Birger Christensen is sold out but is available in other and no less hot shades.

Other popular versions can be found in H & M's latest innovation collection launched about a month ago, with a similar model in black or short tops worn with a matching mini skirt.

Throughout the history of fashion one can note some iconic papillon moments from the 18th century with the famous portrait of the Marquise Madame de Pompadour who was the mistress of Louis XV, through the pink Papillon dress by Yves Saint Laurent from 83 which adorned the poster for the designer's retrospective exhibition. Which coined the term "Kelly and Brenda incident."

It is important to note that the central location alongside the extra large dimensions of the story do not leave too many options for additional accessories, other than perhaps a pair of earrings as exemplified by Emily in Paris and hot-girl Emily Sindlev.
