For a moment it looked like the cinema had won - when the news came in that the new Spider-Man movie "No Way Home" had set a box office record;
with more than $ 1 billion.
After all the postponements of the previous year, that was a good sign.
But now the postponement starts all over again.
Sony announced on Monday that the Marvel film "Morbius" will not hit German cinemas on January 28th as planned, but rather on March 31st.
The reason for this is probably the increasing incidence due to the omicron variant and the concerns that the cinemas would remain empty.
It's not the first, not the second, not even the third shift in the film.
But the sixth.
Originally, the superhero flick should have started in July 2020.
Hollywood star Jared Leto plays the leading role in »Morbius«.
Dr.
Morbius is a scientist who mutates into a vampire while trying to cure himself of a blood disease.
