The direction of the theater explains in a press release that "
the displacement of the choir and the orchestra of the Opera of Lyon, of foreign singers, as well as of artists coming from all the Ile-de-France, in spite of everything what we are putting in place to protect artists and the public, represented a health risk that we preferred not to take ”.
Too large numbers and health standards impossible to meet for the theater, which recalls that
"the setting in effect mobilizes more than a hundred people on the set (singers, choristers, dancers and extras) and requires just as much in backstage every evening to ensure the smooth running of the three acts. "
