Omar Adam's song "Kakdila" will not be heard on the radio stations of "Here".
In a letter written by the deputy director of radio, Lee-Or Averbach to MK Yevgeny Soba, it is written:
Every work that comes to the editorial meeting of here Gimel is examined according to purely professional standards.
"Along with considerations of the quality of the song and its production, the identity of the performer and its suitability for all the works played on the station's broadcast schedule, the station's editors are attentive to the spirit of the time and sensitive to values and publicity," the response said.
"Omar Adam's song, 'Kakdila' came up at the editors' meeting held on the 4.1th day, and according to its professional decision, it will not be included in the station's playlists.
"In a personal tone I tell you, MK Soba, that as a member of a Russian-speaking family myself, I am troubled by stereotyping and racism, but I am no less troubled by the violation of freedom of art and expression."
