"The king and queen, who are fully vaccinated with three injections, have mild symptoms and feel fine, given the circumstances," the palace reported, on the day the National Health Agency reported a new contagion record, 11,507. as of December 30, compared to the previous peak of 11,376 cases.
The Guardian reports, noting that the new wave, partly powered by Omicron, has hit Sweden later than its Nordic neighbors, but has led to a sharp increase in cases and hospitalizations in recent weeks.
