The second season of the series "Emily in Paris" has been available on Netflix since December 22nd.
Since then, there has been cliché criticism.
The fans are divided.
"Emily in Paris" season one was already viewed critically among the viewers and still loved.
Netflix * was finally able to celebrate great success with the series.
58 million subscribers wanted to see Lily Collins in as Emily Cooper from Chicago in 2020.
So it's no wonder that season two was eagerly awaited.
At least partially, because the reviews of the first season could hardly be overheard.
But that is precisely what could make the series so successful.
The sequel to “Emily in Paris” is finally here and so are the critics.
Because the series plays again with clichés that not everyone likes.
While some recognize the humor in it, for others it's just an even more annoying season.
"Emily in Paris": renewed criticism of the clichés
In the Netflix Top 10, the second "Emily in Paris" season currently ranks seventh (as of January 5, 2022). In principle, this could initially be seen as a good sign for a third season. The fans seem to enjoy watching the series - and so do the critics. Incidentally, they also come from France itself. As the
editorial network Germany
(RND) reports, the French media are not as tough with the second season as they were with the first. The culture magazine "Les Inrocks" writes that the French are portrayed as "
backward, impolite and snobbish idiots
" - but Emily's view of the world, her freedom and her taste are well received by the French.

The portal

writes about the second season: "'Emily in Paris' is still a sugary soufflé that should give viewers a toothache who are looking for more than just a frivolous pastime." A Twitter user becomes clearer : "'Emily in Paris' season two is so stupid and I'm only on episode one.
Emily is annoying.
Goodbye. ”But where there are critics, there are also those who like the series.
As this tweet shows, “I really loved season two of 'Emily in Paris'.
It's still stupid and
full of clichés, but that's exactly the kind of show it is
