The Antitrust has reduced the penalties imposed on Apple and Amazon by 20 and 10 million euros respectively "for a clerical error". The Authority announces in the Bulletin that it has reduced the fine to Apple from about 134 million euros to 114 million and for Amazon from about 68 million to 58.
The sanctions had been imposed last November after having ascertained an agreement restricting competition through "contractual clauses that prevent resellers who legitimately resell genuine Apple and Beats products from accessing Amazon.co.uk marketplace brokerage services.". The Antitrust Authority also amended the payment deadline for administrative sanctions, bringing the deadline from 30 to 90 days from notification of the provision.
