Virologist Drosten as nonsense Drosten: "It was only about the podcast"
He wears a smock and sits in the laboratory, his messy hair should be known to most German citizens - but the presenter does not seem to know him.
“Weren't you even at the Bild?” She asks.
No, he's a virologist, says the smock wearer.
"Okay, but why am I talking to you then, who cares?" The moderator asks.
"Yes, nobody since my pandemic was over," replies Christian Drosten - actually chief virologist at the Berlin Charité and pandemic explainer, but here for once in a self-deprecating role as himself.
In the satirical video for ZDF, which the presenter Sarah Bosetti tweeted on Tuesday, Drosten looks back on the fictitious end of the pandemic in 2022 in an imagined »annual review« of the comedy show »Bosetti will talk!«.
In the mock interview with Bosetti, the virologist says, under whom "Was once important" is written briefly in the belly band: "I invented the pandemic, everyone knows that by now." His motive?
“It was all about the podcast.
I just wanted to do a successful podcast.
But now nobody has wanted to hear that since March. "
This is followed by a “review” of a fictional “general vaccination ban” in March 2022: After many appeals, the government is now relying on the people's defiance.
In it, Bosetti satirically reports as a newscaster: “In Germany, all skeptics were vaccinated within two days.
Leading heads from the so-called lateral thinking scene had called intensely for vaccination.
Don't let vaccination be banned. "
