The Ministry of Health is expected to present a new outline for the tests today, when the PCR tests will be assigned to children, the elderly population, those with background diseases and those who are not vaccinated.

The rest of the subjects will be able to do antigen tests and maybe even home tests.

The goal is to focus on at-risk populations.

Also this week, the Ministry of Health launched a tender for the supply of 20 million rapid test kits with an option to supply up to 80 million kits.

According to the tender, estimates will be provided next week, with the ministry having another 17 million tests from a previous tender.

A 100% increase in the rate of vaccinators

Against the background of severe morbidity data, the vaccination campaign continues.

The United Health Insurance Fund said that as of last night, there has been a 100% increase in the rate of vaccinators in the fourth vaccine.

To date, 8,000 of Meuhedet's insured have been vaccinated with the fourth vaccine, out of a potential of 120,000 of the insured defined in a risk group, over the age of 60 or medical staff.

An additional 15,000 coordinated an appointment for the vaccine.

At the Maccabi Health Services HMO, we updated that the fourth vaccination campaign is in progress, and that about 70,000 appointments have been booked so far, while about 15,000 have already been vaccinated.

Clalit Health Fund reported that about 30,000 people aged 60 and over were vaccinated with the fourth booster dose and another 67,000 made appointments.

Vaccination of the second dose for children has begun at the Maccabi Health Insurance Fund

A Maccabi survey showed that only 2% of children aged 11-5 who were vaccinated in the second dose reported side effects such as fatigue and headache.

Also, more symptoms were recorded after the second dose and 5-year-olds reported fewer symptoms than 11. Most of those who suffered from the symptoms, recovered within three days.

Prime Minister Naftali Bennett was also presented at Sheba Hospital with preliminary results from a study on the fourth dose of the corona vaccine, which indicates a nearly fivefold increase in the number of antibodies in the blood.
