Changes to the yellow vaccination certificate: digital patient files instead of paper
The yellow vaccination certificate is about to end.
Because this is anything but forgery-proof.
Some federal states therefore declared the yellow vaccination certificate to be invalid a few weeks ago.
For example, proof of vaccination in paper form is not sufficient in North Rhine-Westphalia and Baden-Württemberg to prove the corona vaccination.
The yellow paper vaccination certificate is becoming less important.

But where can vaccinations be documented in the future?
With the so-called digital patient file, anyone can replace the handwritten, yellow booklet.
The digital patient record is not compulsory, but offers the option of recording each vaccination.
However, if you want to use the electronic patient record, you must first apply to your health insurance company.
Digital vaccination certificate: only valid for nine months
While the yellow vaccination certificate is becoming less and less important, the digital vaccination certificate is becoming more and more important.
But here too there are changes.
From February 1, 2022, digital vaccination certificates are only valid for nine months (270 days) within the EU.
The most recent vaccination is the decisive criterion.
The certificates that are verified using the CovPass app or the Corona warning app are also affected by this new rule.
There are not only innovations in the vaccination passport and certificate.
