Today, the Faculty of Economics at Damascus University celebrated the graduation of 900 male and female students in the name of “Hope with Science” batch at Al-Basel Coliseum at the Faculty of Civil Engineering.
The graduation ceremony included honoring the outstanding students and top performers at the department level, and singing performances by the student group “Weqzeh” and singer Omar Haswa.
The Dean of the College, Dr. Ammar Nasser Agha, stressed in his speech that the current stage requires the effort of every graduate to contribute to rebuilding the country, calling on the graduates to adhere to professional ethics and to be bright images of their college, as they are its ambassadors inside and outside Syria.
The head of the administrative body at the Faculty of Economics, Uday Abu Hassoun, expressed his pride in representing this batch of graduates who faced and struggled in all circumstances in order to reach the moment of graduation with determination and steadfastness, noting that the authority has always paid attention to guiding students during their university life.
In the graduates' speech, student Khawla Jamil Aisha confirmed that the graduates will work, through what they have learned, to contribute to building the nation and assume the responsibility entrusted to them.
In interviews with SANA, graduate Louay Deeb expressed his happiness at reaching the graduation day, which marks the end of the study phase and the beginning of the path of work and professional life, while the student, Nagham Shams El-Din, expressed her thanks to her family, teachers, and everyone who stood by her during her academic life.
