The R'n'B star The Weeknd is already back.
He will release his new album
Dawn FM
on Friday January 7th.
The Canadian announced it on Monday on his Twitter account, along with a dark video and what appears to be an extract from the album.
The presentation video promises "
a new sonic universe from the spirit of The Weeknd. "

Last week, the Canadian singer already mentioned this album on his Instagram account, explaining that “
music can heal and that seems more important to me than another album launch.
Let’s drop it all and enjoy it with the people.
It is not yet known if
Take My Breath
, the Canadian's last single released in August, is part of the album.
Surprise guest
On the guest side, the list is short but prestigious.
Legendary producer, conductor and jazz musician Quincy Jones will be on hand.
Rappers Tyler The Creator and Lil Wayne will also make an appearance, as will experimental electro musician Oneohtrix Point Never.
More surprisingly, actor and comedian Jim Carrey, known for his roles in
Ace Ventura

Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind.
The friendship between actor and singer was born from their common passion for astronomy.
