"I thought it was an April Fool's joke, because it said: until April 1st": A three-month quarantine ordered by the health department caused a stir among a twelve-year-old and her family in Brandenburg an der Havel.
According to a letter from the health department on Wednesday, the girl should remain in domestic isolation until April 1, 2022 - three months - according to information from the dpa news agency.
Her corona test was positive in December.
Twelve-year-olds have to stay at home for the time being
However, the official letter from the health department turned out to be incorrect.
Apparently some number had crept in.
The family now wants to get in touch with the authorities and demands clarification of the matter.
A new written notification is therefore not yet available.
The twelve-year-old, who says she wants to go to school again, has to stay at home first.
The city has now admitted errors in the preparation of quarantine notices.
At the end of the year there were individual incorrect data records, said Mayor Steffen Scheller (CDU) on Thursday when asked by the dpa.
Corrected notices to those affected are on the way or have already been delivered.
The employees worked on very high numbers of infected and quarantined people, Scheller continued.
It is precisely then that errors cannot be completely ruled out.
He asked for your understanding.
