You are our country: this is how we will remember Yoram Taharlev Israel today

Our tiny country was the playground of his immense talent.

A field where Yoram Taharlev was amazing in his words, and his words were actually a story for all of us.

He saw in it the plot of God and a piece of heaven, and we too experienced it exactly that way, in his songs and hymns, and how much we wanted, just like him, to be silent for forty years.

Together we discovered the land whose roots are already within us, together we carried a silent, uncomfortable prayer to the Land of Israel, together we believed with all our hearts that with all due respect to what was and what will be, what really matters - is this day.

For decades, Yoram Taharlev went in search of the love of his life - his love for the country and its people.

She was a beautiful bride to him, and she did accept him to her songs, opening gates for him.

These gates were also gates to our hearts, the one that was filled with excitement every time another line ignited longing, or when we put a wide smile in front of another of his witty singing sentences.

And here, sadly, this journey is over, the youth of the eternal young man is over.

The man who managed with so much talent to bring to the record what we all feel.

Many waters will not be able to the love he has brought into our lives, nor will the tears or sadness close the gate that opens, the gate of life and work of Yoram Taharlev.

We will continue to carry his songs and creations in our lips from generation to generation.
