These latest data were communicated this Friday, after the return of results which had not been taken into account between Monday and Tuesday.

The majority of these people who test positive remain young, with nearly 89,000 positive among 20-29 year olds, and nearly 75,000 among 10-19 year olds.
Another well-represented category, that of 30-39 with more than 71,000 tested positive.
The oldest remain in the minority with less than 22,000 positive results among 60-69 year olds and less than 11,000 among people aged 70 to 79 years.
Finally, the number of people tested has also increased sharply in recent days with more than 1.1 million tests performed on average each day.
Very strong increase in incidence rate
The incidence rate, ie the number of cases per 100,000 inhabitants over the past week, has continued to increase, now exceeding 2,000 for the entire population.
This means that more than one in 50 residents has tested positive in the past seven days.
The repercussions are particularly felt in schools, where 9,200 classes were closed Thursday.
Finally, at the hospital, the increase in admissions of patients "diagnosed with Covid" continues.
According to Public Health France, 21,169 patients with Covid infection are currently being treated in hospital.
