After announcing the return of the display of posts on the wall in chronological order and no longer recommended by the algorithms, the head of Instagram, Adam Mosseri, shared a preview of the novelty.

The social media, owned by Meta, has released an update of its app for a few testers, who already have the opportunity to choose between different ways of accessing the posts of the users who follow.

Instagram has confirmed that it will differentiate the "home" screen, which presents a "feed", a bulletin board, managed by an algorithm, from the "favorites" screen, where posts will be collected in chronological order. In these, the contents of friends and contacts chosen previously will run out. Finally, the "following" section, where all the accounts followed will be placed, in chronological order only. This last section will eventually become the opposite extreme of the classic home because, as Mosseri observes, the "home" feed, ordered by the algorithm, constantly mixes the published posts, to highlight those that should be most of importance for the subscribers. Mosseri explained that the full availability of today's features will require "a couple of weeks. "The changes are part of Instagram's already known plans for 2022. The company has explained that it wants to focus more on video content, starting with the Reel, to which it has dedicated the central section of its apps. But not only : Mosseri at the end of last year spoke to the American Senate about the ways in which Instagram intends to protect minors, anticipating the arrival of parental controls for parents and more opportunities to report harassing and dangerous accounts for adolescents.Mosseri at the end of last year spoke to the American Senate about the ways in which Instagram intends to protect minors, anticipating the arrival of parental controls for parents and more opportunities to report harassing and dangerous accounts for adolescents.Mosseri at the end of last year spoke to the American Senate about the ways in which Instagram intends to protect minors, anticipating the arrival of parental controls for parents and more opportunities to report harassing and dangerous accounts for adolescents.
