Istat: deficit / GDP falls to 6.2% in the third quarter

(ANSA) - ROME, JANUARY 07 - In the third quarter of 2021, the net debt of public administrations in relation to GDP was equal to -6.2% (-9.8% in the same quarter of 2020).

Istat notes this, explaining that "the debt of public administrations on GDP has significantly reduced in terms of trends due to the consistent increase in revenues, which more than compensated for the increase in outflows".

    In the third quarter of 2021, the tax burden was 41.0%, an increase of 2.0 percentage points compared to the same period of the previous year.
