The poet and writer Yoram Taharlev is laid to rest at this time (Friday) in the cemetery at Kibbutz Yagur.

Earlier, his coffin was placed at the Habima Theater in Tel Aviv and singers, colleagues, friends and family passed by his coffin, paid tribute to him and sang his songs.

Among the eulogies was Defense Minister Bnei Gantz, who said that Yoram Taharlev was expected to receive the Israel Prize this year.

"I came to his performance and rejoiced at every moment, as a well-known lover of public singing I came out hoarse and mostly happy and satisfied. Believe me, being happy and satisfied is not something that can be said to be standard in the agenda of a politician in Israel. And added: "Countless events are engraved in your writings."

Avshalom Kor added: "Thanks to him, we know about Eitan Nava from the Ammunition Hill, about Yoel Moshe Salomon. He told about the history of Israel, to teach us how much the land will happen to us, how much we fought to win it."

At the end of the ceremony, his daughter Erella paid tribute to him and said: "You never had anything low, you never gossiped, you harbored resentment, you did not judge people. You were a person of example. You knew how to enjoy the little things: logic puzzles, afternoon cigars, Hanukkah donuts, babies. "You were humble, never arrogant or arrogant, at the end of a show you would come home and go to work in the morning. Every time after we met you would say goodbye and tell me I had fun with you. Dad, we had fun with you, all of us. We had great fun."
