Arnaldo Francisconi,
from Cesena,
is the first classified in the first world hairdressing championship promoted by the OMC (World Coiffeur Organization) in the individual Fashion category.
The 69-year-old hairdresser from Romagna, owner of a salon in Cesena in Corso Cavour since 1978 - won in the individual fashion category, repeating the successes obtained last spring in the European championship.
"The tournament should have been held in Tokyo in September - explains Francisconi in a note from the Confartigianato of Forlì-Cesena - but was suspended due to the continuation of Covid and was held online. The competitors, coming from 80 countries, made the cuts by working on the 'pupette', the mannequins that everyone has acquired, connected on telematic platforms.
My men's hairstyle - he adds - was done in a quarter of an hour.
The proclamation took place last Monday from New York, the headquarters of the WTO.
For me - he concludes - it is a great personal satisfaction because it is coupled with the affirmation obtained last May in the online European championship promoted by OMC, where I won gold and bronze medals for two hairstyles. "
In 2018 Francisconi has obtained the honor of Knight of the Republic and accompanies his professional activity to the teaching and training within the Anam, the National Academy of mixed hairdressers, in which he has held positions for several years.
