The Djokovic case continues, with one new episode per day.
Friday noon local time, a little less than 48 hours after the arrival of Novak Djokovic, his fans gathered in front of the detention center where the tennis player is isolated.
He was due to come and play for the Australian Open, a prestigious tennis tournament, but refused to communicate his vaccination status when entering the territory.
The Australian authorities therefore isolated him in a detention center, the time to decide whether he could still play or not.
The demonstration took place, under the watchful eyes of the police.
Between political demand and support for the athlete, the supporters chant their slogans, such as “Free the Novax Legend” or other songs in Serbian, the nationality of the player.

"I think it's terrible to keep him in a detention center," said one of the supporters there.
He doesn't deserve it, he should be somewhere else, like in a hotel.
I don't know, I'm not a lawyer, but I don't think he did anything so wrong that he should be in the detention center.

The Australian Minister of the Interior, for her part, insisted in a video statement that Novak Djokovic "is not being held captive, he is free to leave whenever he wishes".
For some fans, the case has gone too far: at the base, it is mainly about tennis.
"Let him play, let him do what he does best" implored a supporter.
