Yoram passed away at the age of 83 after dealing with cancer • Over the years he has written many songs and hymns,

The poet Yoram Taharlev will be laid to rest today (Friday) in the Kibbutz Yagur cemetery at 14:00.

Earlier, his coffin was placed at the Habima Theater in Tel Aviv and a funeral service was held in his memory, in which ministers, colleagues and family members mourned him, along with listening to his songs.

At the end, all the occupants of the hall stood and applauded Yoram Taharlev for the last time.

"Your work will sometimes continue in our hearts and in the hearts of the country for many, many years to come."

At the beginning of the funeral service, Defense Minister Bnei Gantz paid tribute to him: "I came to his performance and was delighted at every moment. As a well-known public singing enthusiast, I came out hoarse and mostly happy and satisfied. "Made tens of thousands of Israelis feel every day. At the end of the show, I wrote to myself on my cell phone: The Israel Prize for Yoram Taharlev, unfortunately we did not manage to complete this task."

Minister Ganz added: "You designed the security soundtrack that accompanied and accompanied us warriors. Along with the songs that shape the road, you did not forget the road itself and described small moments of life. Your spray and song, which you wrote and edited modestly left a mark. "Countless events are engraved in your writings. Thank you, rest in peace, we will continue to listen to you."

Afterwards, the Minister of Culture and Sports, Hili Trooper, said: "We planned for the Israel Prize to reach Yoram this year. In the last day, everyone I meet shares the great pain with me. In the last day, his songs are played on all radio stations. "It ends up meeting so many Israelis. His writing grew out of deep Jewish roots, precisely against the background of the winds of division. Taharlev presented an essay. Not everyone manages to be a soundtrack of generations, you succeeded."

Avshalom Kor also mourned him with great pain: "Thanks to him we know about Eitan Nava from the Ammunition Hill, about Yoel Moshe Salomon. He told about the history of Israel, teaching us how much the country will cost us, how much we fought to win it. His father lives: 'I prayed to this boy', ever since he lived the Bible and accompanied biblical figures. "We have the right parking." He had a hug from Yiddish, the kibbutz, receiving illegal immigrants and finding parking in Tel Aviv.

Finally, his family members went up and mourned.

Erella his daughter said: "It's not easy to write an obituary for a father, a father like mine, whose words abounded. I watched you and learned. Now that you go and there are other things I did not learn, I want to memorize them: your humor, how funny you were in life, even without editing "You were so funny at home, in a cafe, in a hospital, it was not the jokes or quotes playing in my head, it was an amused look that whoever was sitting with you could for a moment embrace."

Erella added: "You never had anything low again, I never gossiped, you harbored resentment, you did not judge people. You were an example person. You knew how to enjoy the little things: logic puzzles, afternoon cigars, Hanukkah donuts, babies. Every time after we met You would break up and tell me I had fun with you Dad, we had fun with you, all of us. We had great fun.

"You were humble, never arrogant or arrogant. At the end of a show you would come home and go to work in the morning. Your modesty was evident in the relationship you had with the fans. You did not act like they were the fans and you were revered. You knew how to live with death."

His grandson John paid tribute: "It's not easy to write to you. We would meet regularly for coffee at the press house, you in a button-down denim shirt. To you with great excitement and for a moment they turn to me - 'You have a one-of-a-kind grandfather' and I thought 'I did win, you do not know how much.' "He was there. You are a special grandfather more than words."
