The omicron eruption continues, and according to data from the Ministry of Health published tonight (Saturday), the number of corona patients hospitalized in critical condition rose sharply to 172, compared with 143 yesterday morning and 103 a week ago.
This is the highest number of serious patients in two months.
Also, according to the data 49 of the patients are connected to the respirator machine.
Yesterday, 18,780 new subjects were diagnosed on PCR.
This is the highest daily figure since the outbreak of the plague, despite the entry into force of the outline limiting PCR tests for those aged 60 and over.
The new test layout,
A total of about 200,000 tests were solved yesterday, and the positive rate was about 9.5%, the highest percentage since the end of January 2021. Today from midnight to 16:30 another 10,109 infections were diagnosed.
It also shows that the coefficient of infection has dropped slightly and now stands at 1.95 compared to 1.99 on Thursday.
The high number of subjects raises concerns against the background of the steep decline recorded over the weekend in the Home Front Command and Sheba Target complexes that perform PCR tests.

As part of the gradual adjustment to the new outline, the Ministry of Health can at the weekend accept anyone who is interested even if he is not over 60 or has a background illness, when towards Monday are expected to receive only according to the new guidelines (over 60 or seriously ill).
Sources in the testing system noted that "the main problem is that the state has set up laboratories specifically for the benefit of PCR tests, but at the moment they are almost empty and it is a great waste of resources. In such a situation they may close and then the state will be in trouble again."
