Czech tennis player Renata Voracova has surrendered to Australia's strict anti-Covid rules and left the country without participating in the tournament.
She too had presented an exemption for not getting vaccinated, after recovering from Covid in the last six months.
But according to the Australian government, the tennis player does not comply with the rules for entering the country.
Voracova, 38, was held in the same Melbourne immigration center as Serbian tennis ace Novak Djokovic who is attempting to cancel her visa cancellation.
