Weekends with cold, rain and snow at low altitude

This is indicated by the forecasts of the meteorologist Mattia Gussoni, of the website www.iLMeteo.it.
"While on Saturday the rains will affect only Sicily, Calabria and southern Puglia, on Sunday a large part of Italy will be reached by an Arctic lunge that will give rise to a cold disturbance", reads the note.
On Saturday morning the weather worsened slightly in Lombardy and Emilia Romagna, with possible snowfalls up to the plains; clouds over the rest of the northern regions. A worsening is also expected from Tuscany towards Umbria, the Adriatic regions and Lazio, with gradually more intense rainfall and snow at lower and lower altitudes, up to 300-400 meters in inland Tuscany, Lazio and Umbria and up to coastal areas of Marche and Abruzzo in the evening. In the evening the disturbance will reach the South, from Campania and Calabria to Sicily, Basilicata and Puglia with heavy rains and snow at hilly altitudes in the evening.
Temperatures are expected to decrease further
, especially where bad weather will act;
strong mistral winds are also expected around Sardinia and throughout the Tyrrhenian Sea, with intense storm surges along the exposed coasts.
For Sunday 9 January snow is expected in the early hours of the morning in Lombardy and Emilia Romagna and a progressive deterioration in the center starting from Tuscany towards the south.
