(ANSA) - LIVORNO, 09 JAN - A 76-year-old woman was stabbed to death late yesterday evening in Livorno.
According to what she learned, she was struck by her eighty-year-old husband, stopped by the Carabinieri who intervened in the couple's house, on the third floor of a building in via England.
According to the first findings, the elderly would have admitted his responsibilities.
The son of the couple called 112: the 76-year-old was already dead by the time help arrived.
The old woman would have been hit by a stab in the chest, which was fatal.
At the moment the causes that would have led the man to carry out the gesture are still being examined by the military.
It does not seem that there was any quarrel, nor that there were problems of coexistence between the two.
