The seven-day incidence in the district of Erding has almost doubled in three days.
The highly infectious Omicron variant now seems to have hit.

- The Omikron wave has obviously fully gripped the Erding district.
The seven-day incidence rose within three days from below 300 - the Bavarian threshold for a hotspot classification - to 557.3 on Sunday.
According to the Robert Koch Institute, the value was 419.0 on Saturday and 295.9 on Friday.
The number of corona infections is increasing rapidly.
The district office reported 196 new confirmed cases for the Erding district on Saturday, and there were 186 on Friday.
The number of confirmed cases since the pandemic began rose to 15,730 by Saturday.
The district office specifies the number of those who have recovered as 14,631.
This means that 944 people are currently infected.
There are currently 1365 people in quarantine.
The newly infected are three to 78 years old and come from the following communities: Erding 58;
Dorfen 20, St. Wolfgang 18;
Finsing and Taufkirchen 11 each;
Worth 10;
Forstern, Fraunberg and Moosinning 8 each;
Buckhorn 7;
Berglern and Oberding 6 each;
Lengdorf 5;
Eitting 4;
Walpertskirchen and Wartenberg 3 each;
Buch am Buchrain, Inning am Holz, Pastetten and Steinkirchen 2 each;
Kirchberg and Neuching each 1.
