The Saxon police are investigating a 65-year-old for threats against local politicians.
In a so-called threat address, the man from the Meißen district threatened the use of force, as the Dresden Police Department announced.
In addition, his statements suggested a closeness to the so-called Reich Citizens' Scene.
According to the "MDR", the man was already known to the police.
He is suspected of having sent threatening letters to local politicians from the districts of Meißen and Bautzen.
During a search of the 65-year-old's house, the investigators found a long gun and three pistols that the man legally owned.
Officials from the special units of the State Criminal Police Office were also on duty.
The gun license was withdrawn from the man by the weapons authority of the district office in Meißen.
