"Growing Girls Grief" star Bob Sagt dies at 65 | Israel today

American comedian and actor Bob Sagat, the star of the "Growing Girls' Grief" series, passed away last night (Monday) at the age of 65, his family confirmed in a media statement.

"We Russians confirm that our beloved Bob passed away. He was everything to us, and we want you to know how much he loved his fans, performing and meeting people from all walks of life through laughter. We invite you to join us and remember the love and laughter Bob brought into the world," his family said.


Sagitt is found lifeless in a hotel in Orlando, the Orange County Sheriff said. The suspicion that he died from drug use was ruled out, and the cause of death will be determined by the experts.


Sagitt was in Florida as part of his comedy tour, and his last show was on Saturday night.

Sagitt first appeared in the comedy "Critical Condition" alongside comedian Richard Prior, and was later best known as Danny Tanner, the widowed father in the hit sitcom "Grief Raising Girls." Sagat has been directing "America's Funniest Home Videos" for eight years. In 2001, he starred in the sitcom "Raising Dad" on The WB. In 2003 he made a brief comedic film appearance in the comedy "Stupid on a Second Break". Starting in 2005 Sagett plays the voice of the announcer who is actually the future Ted Mosby (in 2030) in the sitcom "How I Met Your Mother". In 2006 he was chosen to host the American version of the "1 vs. 100" game show, and hosted the show for two years. In 2007, a reporter directed and produced the saga of the parody nature film "The Rough Side of the Penguins", based on the Oscar-winning docu-film "The Emperor's Family". In 2009, he starred in the sitcom's only season of "Survive the Suburbs" on ABC.In 2018, he played the character of Richie Knight in the Netflix service's good cop's comedy TV series, which is based on the Israeli series of the same name.
