In front of his shocked father, a baby drove away alone on a train in Düsseldorf.
The father had already brought the eleven-month-old child in the pram on the train and was still waiting on the platform for his wife when the doors closed and the regional train headed for Duisburg, as the federal police reported on Monday.
While the excited parents immediately ran towards the taxi stand to take up the chase, attentive travelers on the train had already informed the train attendant, who in turn caused the train driver to drive the train back to the platform.
The parents did not notice, however, who in turn had alerted the state police via an emergency call.
This notified the federal police at the main train station, which took care of the baby on the platform.
After a short time, the parents were able to hug their child again at the station in the main station.
