Danny Tanner from "Full House": Actor Bob Saget is dead

His role in the popular US sitcom "Full House" earned him the reputation of America's father. Now the actor and comedian Bob Saget was found dead in a hotel room.

The American actor Bob Saget is dead. This was announced by the Orange County police in Florida.

Accordingly, investigators were called to a hotel in Orlando on Sunday.

In one of the rooms they would have found an "unresponsive man."

He was identified as Robert Saget and pronounced dead on the spot, tweeted the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

The investigators had no evidence of a criminal background or "drug use" in the case.

The cause of death is not yet known.

Saget was 65 years old.

The comedian was best known for his role as a single father in the sitcom "Full House" - the series ran in the USA for eight years, from 1987 to 1995. In Germany, RTL began broadcasting in 1992.

Saget played Danny Tanner, who after the accidental death of his wife brings his brother-in-law Jesse and his best friend Joey into the house to cope with everyday family life with his three daughters.

Over time, the two uncles become like fathers to baby Michelle, Stephanie and DJ, the eldest of the three sisters.

The sitcom was extremely popular.

In 2015 it was announced that "Full House" is returning: The series "Fuller House" was broadcast from 2016 to 2020.

Saget was only seen as a minor character.

From 2005 to 2014 Saget was the narrator voice of the main character Ted Mosby in the series "How I Met Your Mother".

Saget was most recently a stand-up comedian.

His current US tour should have lasted until June of this year.

He had performed in Jacksonville, Florida just hours before his death.

Saget was born in Philadelphia in 1956.

He had three children with his first wife, Sherri Kramer Saget.

His second marriage was to Kelly Rizzo.

The reactions to the death of Bob Saget

Numerous friends and companions expressed their condolences on social networks.

Saget's "Full House" colleague John Stamos wrote on Twitter that he was devastated.

"I'll never have a boyfriend like him again." Actress Whoopi Goldberg remembered her "boyfriend" with his "big heart."

Actor George Takei stated that Saget was "loved by millions of people as America's papa" and was a "regular presence in our living rooms."

One of the founders of How I Met Your Mother, Craig Thomas, said he was incredibly lucky to have worked with Saget.

He described him as "funny, soulful and nice".

Comedian Dane Cook wrote that he was confused and sad.

"I loved him.

I can not believe that."

Comedian Tom Green tweeted that he was extremely sad.

Said was "always hilarious and nice".

“You made my life and so many other people's lives better, Bob.

Rest in peace."
