(ANSA) - MELBOURNE, 10 JAN - The online hearing between the lawyers of Novak Djokovic and the Australian authorities has begun to allow the tennis superstar to stay in Melbourne and pursue the tenth Australian Open title.
The legal battalion started late due to a technical problem.
Djokovic's lawyers will have to prove the Serbian's vaccine exemption valid after he contracted covid last December.
But for the Australian government, Covid infection is not a sufficient reason to obtain medical exemption and Novak Djokovic has provided no further clear evidence of vaccine contraindication.
