Preparation
How do you make Nutella snails?
1
Prepare the dough:
In a mixer with a kneading hook or in a bowl with both vigorous hands mix flour, yeast, sugar and water for 2 minutes.
Add 2 eggs (if desired, you can save a little egg for the brushing step) and oil, and mix for another 2 minutes.
Add salt and mix for another 4-3 minutes or until a uniform and easy-to-work dough is obtained.
3
puffs:
Transfer the dough to a clean, greased bowl, put in a plastic bag and let it rise.
It is possible to spend two hours at room temperature, but it is best to spend the night in the refrigerator - the more comfortable it is to work with it.
4
Fill and roll:
Roll out half the amount of dough on a floured surface, to a thickness of about half a centimeter.
Spread 2-3 heaping tablespoons of Nutella, roll and cut into 1-2 cm thick slices (the number of final pastries, will be derived from the thickness you choose).
Continue like this with the other half of the dough.
5 Place the snails in a pan with baking paper so that the cut side is facing up.
Cover and swell for half an hour.
Meanwhile, preheat oven to 180 degrees.
6
Bake:
Brush the snails with egg seasoned with a little sugar and salt and bake for 25 minutes or until nicely golden.
