Fans of "The Cool Prince of Bel Air" can no longer wait: the successful sitcom from the 1990s now has an up-to-date version, in which the main star of the series at the time, Will Smith, is on the standard of producer and announcer.
Actor Jabri Banks will play the character of Smith in the series.

The new series, called "Bel-Air", will be based on a four-minute video uploaded to YouTube last year (by a fan of the series), and tried to give a taste of what the sitcom would have looked like if it had happened now, in 2022, with all the necessary updates: dramatic and honed much more.
The three-minute trailer takes viewers into the world of Will (the main character in the series), from the streets of Philadelphia, from where he reaches the detached mansions of the Bel Air neighborhood of Los Angeles.
In the trailer in question, Will seems shocked at first at the change that has landed on him, and later also hurts, suffers, is imprisoned, and frustrated - but in the end, how can he not, wins.
As mentioned, the latest series will try to further sharpen the contrasts in Will's life, giving way to the complexity of his life, something that could not have been done in the sitcom format of the 1990s.
For those worried that the series will lose its charm, the producers reported in a reassuring message that "the adolescence story that celebrates the power and love of the black family remains true to the original series."
The series will air in the US on February 13 on the Peacock network.
