On a ride, a horse suddenly gets stuck in the mud and threatens to sink deeper and deeper.
A dramatic rescue operation begins for the fire brigade.
Bad Salzuflen - Get out into nature, indulge your thoughts, just let your mind wander: Nothing is more relaxing than a leisurely ride on horseback.
But for a rider in the North Rhine-Westphalian Bad Salzuflen, district Papenhausen, the excursion ends in a horror scenario, as reported by Landtiere.de.
His stallion suddenly gets stuck in the mud in one of the fields - and every minute threatens to sink deeper into the muddy prison.
The horse sinks into the mud - the fire brigade starts a dramatic rescue operation
The emergency call for "animal rescue large" is received by the Bad Salzuflen volunteer fire brigade via the control center in Lippe.
The Retzen fire fighting group on the “Düsternsiek” road also immediately set off.
Once at the scene of the accident, the emergency services are presented with an alarming picture: helpless, the white-brown horse is stuck up to its chest in the mud.
It is immediately clear: the stallion cannot possibly break free from the swamp on its own.
Because with every movement, the mud pulls him further into the depths of the field.
But how should the fire brigade save the horse without getting stuck in the mud?

Horse sinks into the mud - emergency services build a platform out of boards
The idea: A platform made of boards and other material from the fire engines should help to rescue the horse from the deep mud.
The 30 or so emergency services team quickly begin to assemble around the animal - and do so as carefully as possible so that it does not get frightened and kick its legs.
To their surprise, the stallion remains extremely calm in his predicament.
As if he knew that the fire department just wanted to help him.
But when the firefighters want to put a sling on to the rescue, everything suddenly happens very quickly.
With the last of its strength, the horse digs itself to the surface and can finally be pulled out of the mud with the help of the emergency services - dirty, but luckily unharmed!
