Betty White only missed her 100th birthday on January 17th by a few days when she died on New Year's Eve.

Early on, the police assumed a natural death for the actress, who had become known, among other things, from the TV series "Golden Girls".

Nevertheless, there were numerous rumors on the Internet that White could have died as a result of an alleged booster vaccination.

US fact check portals have already found out that there is nothing wrong with the theories.

Now the cause of death has also been officially established: White succumbed to a stroke six days earlier.

This can be seen from her death certificate, which the AP news agency has.

Schein runs in the name of Betty Marion Ludden

The popular actress died in her home in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles of complications from cerebrovascular insufficiency, the medical term for a stroke that she suffered on December 25th.

The cause of death on the note was, as is customary in such cases, given by White's doctor.

Betty Marion Ludden is listed as White's official name in the document.

She had taken the surname of her husband Allen Ludden, whom she was married to from 1963 until his death in 1981.

Jeff Witjas, White's longtime agent and friend who had also publicly confirmed her death, said she stayed near her Los Angeles home during the pandemic.

After her death, White was cremated.

Her remains were handed over Friday to Glenn Kaplan, who was running health for White.

White's humor, talent and charm had made her a fixture on television for over 60 years, and several generations of fans had cheered her on.

After her death, she was recognized by numerous personalities for her life's work, including US President Joe Biden and actor Mel Brooks.
