(ANSA) - SEUL, 11 JAN - North Korea threw an "unidentified bullet" into the sea in the eastern part of the peninsula, said the South Korean army quoted by the Yonhap news agency, less than a week after Pyongyang had claimed to having launched a hypersonic missile.
The launch was also reported by the Japanese Coast Guard, who spoke of a "ballistic missile-like object".
South Korean joint chiefs of staff, for their part, did not provide further details, Yonhap said.
