Inflation in the OECD area continued to increase to reach 5.8% in November 2021, the highest rate in the last 25 years, after 5.2% in October and only 1.2% in November 2020

This is the highest figure ever recorded since May 1996. The increase was particularly strong in the USA (6.8% in November against 6.2% in October), the highest level since June 1982. Strong increase also in the eurozone (4.9% in November against 4.1% in October and -0.3% a year earlier).
However, the Euroland figure remained lower than that of the OECD area as a whole.
