In the trial against the clan chief and former business partner of rapper Bushido, Arafat Abou-Chaker, a criminal deported to Turkey is said to be heard as a witness.
The Berlin district court has summoned the man for March 14, said a court spokeswoman.
The "Bild" newspaper had previously reported.
Abou-Chaker is charged, among other things, with deprivation of liberty and attempted severe predatory extortion.
Three brothers of the clan chief are said to have been accomplices.
The alleged acts to the detriment of Bushido are said to have occurred after Bushido broke off relations with his business partner - the clan chief did not want to accept that.
The witness from Turkey is now supposed to testify about the attack on Bushido, whose real name is Anis Mohamed Ferchichi.
The man with ties to criminal clans was expelled from custody in March 2021. According to the police at the time, he was banned from re-entering the country for many years. According to the "Bild" report, however, the Turk should be able to testify in Berlin. At the same time, he should be watched by the police during his stay in Germany in order to prevent him from going into hiding.
The case against Bushido's ex-partner has been preoccupying the Berlin Regional Court since August 2020. Rapper Bushido is a joint plaintiff and a witness in the trial. The trial is scheduled to continue on January 19th.
