(ANSA) - NAPLES, 11 JAN - Escape in the early hours of last night from the Bellizzi prison in Avellino: three prisoners escaped - two from Eastern Europe and the last Moroccan - who were restricted to the first penal section.
The two from the east are still on the run while the Moroccan was caught by the carabinieri, just after the escape, after the alarm of the Penitentiary Police.
The fugitives would have pierced the cell wall and gained the outside by lowering themselves with knotted sheets.
A maxi operation by the forces of the Order and the Penitentiary Police immediately started with blocking posts and checks on buses and trains.
